DREAM Team Winter Softball Training

(We welcome 8U-12U players from all teams to come get better this Winter!)

Don't let the holidays slow you down, come train with us! This off-season we are offering a membership to grow your game and come back in the spring stronger. For $125, you get access to our DREAM Off-Season program. This will consist of a 6 week session of development and training starting in November through December. With this membership, you can also book into exclusive add-on programs for the offseason! These add-ons are only offered to DREAM Team off-season members so don't miss out. You don't want to snooze on these classes because our instructors will specifically guide your player through each muscle memory & mechanic from the ground up! The learning progressions help stair step the player through each skill so that they can learn and adapt each skill more quickly until it's instinctual! That's the goal, training them skills that "stick" in their muscle memory!

Coach Kameron Pitcher

Softball Pitching

Coach Kameron will be working specifically on instructing for our Pitchers as they learn the fundamental pitch types to throw along with them learning the mechanics to throw consistent strikes.

They will also work on learning a change up pitch type to change speeds and get swings and misses!

This includes using our Pitching Rapsodo software for some of our sessions or the Pocket Radar to give the pitchers an idea of the splits in speeds for fastball/changeup and how that can help them become more effective in getting hitters out.

Pitching Metrics that we’ll focus on with the Rapsodo:
*Location, location, location: Know exactly where each pitch lands in or out of the strike zone & how to hit your spots.
*Analyze your pitching mechanics rep after rep in slow motion with immediate video feedback and Rapsodo data overlay.
*Understand pitching movement (aka pitch tunneling): Get release point and ball flight comparisons for different pitches.
*Understand Pitch Design as it relates to certain pitch grips which makes the pitcher more confident in understanding how pitch grips affect movement and pitch outcomes.

Softball Hitting

Our coaches will be working on Hitting instruction with the girls and we will use the Rapsodo Hitting software this offseason to work on hitting the softball with hard barrel contact (while working on our load, stride, separation, and finish).

The Rapsodo Hit Tracking software (similar to a golf swing simulator) helps measure their swing outcomes & allows our instructors to fine tune their swing mechanics!
Hitting Metrics that we’ll focus on with the Rapsodo:
*Hard hit %-consistent contact
*Launch angle-measures line drives vs. hitting ground balls
*Direction-ideally you want to hit balls from gap to gap
*Volume of hits-you want them gap to gap
*Hit classifications-for fun
*Launch angle by exit direction-are they hitting line drives to both sides of the field?
Softball Fielding

Softball Fielding

Mastering the art of softball fielding is crucial to excel in this exhilarating game of softball.

In our facility sessions, we'll work on defensive responsibilities (Softball IQ), cone drills for defensive agility and glove work, and other drills that focus on honing in our defensive knowledge.

We will have defensive drills that also align with certain positions and allow each player to pick up new skills in each drill. Working with our Middle Infielders will be focused on 2B responsibilities, our Corner Infielders will work on bunt coverage and bag responsibilities, our Outfielders will work on how to turn their hips and take diagonal routes to fly balls, and Catchers will work on stances and strategy.

Pitchers will also focus on fielding their position and how to back up throws.
