Remote Training Programs: Your FAQs Answered

Are the workouts too strenuous to do before or after a baseball practice?

The workouts have been designed specifically to enhance your child's baseball performance, working in harmony with their practice and game schedule. While it's generally advised to avoid intense workouts right before a practice session, the timing can vary based on factors such as your child's fitness level, recovery capacity, and the intensity of their practice. Our program aims to strike a perfect balance, challenging your child while allowing them enough time for recovery and optimal performance.

What if my player has never lifted weights before? Can they still do these workouts?

Absolutely! The workout program I have designed is specifically tailored to accommodate athletes of all experience levels, including beginners who have never lifted weights before. It incorporates a wide range of exercises that can be adjusted to meet the needs of those who are new to weightlifting. For beginners, it is essential to prioritize proper form and technique before gradually increasing the weights.

We encourage beginners to start with lighter weights or even bodyweight exercises. This approach allows athletes to establish a strong foundation and develop confidence in their abilities. As they progress, they can gradually increase the weights and resistance level, under the guidance of a qualified strength and conditioning coach or personal trainer who can provide proper instruction and supervision.

Rest and recovery play a crucial role for beginners. It's important to listen to their bodies, take rest days when needed, and prioritize sleep and nutrition. Building strength and mastering weightlifting techniques takes time and consistency. Therefore, it's essential to be patient and celebrate small milestones along the way.

What player ages are the workouts really designed to help?

The programs that have been developed are designed to benefit athletes across a wide range of ages, with a primary focus on players aged 12 and up. The program takes into account the physical development and capabilities of athletes in this stage, with a specific emphasis on building strength, improving mobility, and enhancing explosiveness - all crucial elements for success in baseball.

While the program is primarily tailored for high school-aged athletes, it can be adapted to suit the needs and abilities of younger or older players. Throughout the program, there is a strong emphasis on proper form, technique, and safety to ensure that athletes can train effectively while minimizing the risk of injury.

If you have any specific concerns about the suitability of the workouts for your player's age group, I encourage you to reach out to me. I'm available to provide further guidance and recommendations based on your athlete's individual circumstances.

Are players able to do the workouts even if they don’t have a device that has the TeamBuildr app?

Of course! While the TeamBuildr app provides a seamless and convenient platform for accessing and tracking the workouts, players can still fully participate in the training program even if they don't have a device with the app. The workout programs can be shared with players in alternative formats, such as printable PDFs or online documents. This way, they can have a clear understanding of the exercises, sets, and repetitions prescribed.

Ensuring that players have access to the workout details and can follow them accurately is important. If your player doesn't have a device compatible with the TeamBuildr app, please let me know, and I will provide alternative ways to share the workout program with them. The goal is to ensure that every player has the opportunity to benefit from the training program, regardless of their access to the app.

What if my player has been dealing with an injury?

If your player has been dealing with an injury, their health and recovery should be the top priority. It is crucial for them to consult with a medical professional or physical therapist before starting any workout program. These professionals can provide personalized guidance based on the specific injury.

Depending on the severity and type of injury, modifications or alternative exercises may be necessary to ensure their safety and prevent further harm. As their coach, I am committed to collaborating with medical professionals to design a modified training program that focuses on rehabilitation and strengthening specific areas while avoiding activities that may aggravate the injury.

The well-being and long-term health of your player are paramount. We will ensure that their training program aligns with their injury status and recovery needs. Please keep me informed about your player's injury, and together, we can create a plan that supports their rehabilitation and gradual return to full fitness.
