What is the DREAM Team Uniform for the Fall Season?
This Spring DREAM Team will be wearing black socks and a black belt.
How will I receive my players uniform?
Once the office has received your players uniform you will be notified and will hand them out to the parents. We will be having a uniform pick up day once we have received the jerseys. All jerseys must be picked up by a parent on the scheduled day. We have ordered the jerseys based on the sizes we received at signing day or through the uniform link. If you believe your players jersey is the wrong size please email our office at baseball@familydreamcenter,com. We will look into it and get back with you. If the wrong size was given on the form or at signing day, the parent will be responsible for the cost of the new jersey.
Where can I see my player's schedule?
Your player's schedule has been loaded into GameChanger where you can view all the games, practices and tournaments. You can also sync your players GameChanger calendar to your phone. It is very important to mark if you can attend an event. It helps our coaches know what to plan for and expect. Schedules are subject to change.
How does the tournament fund work?
All DREAM Team players will be billed a one-time tournament fee on March 1st. This will cover the fee for the scheduled tournaments. If your team decides to play in additional tournaments, you will be billed for those tournaments accordingly. You can view your team's scheduled tournaments in the GameChanger for your player's team. Tournaments will be billed at $55 per tournament.
How do the dream provided fundraisers work?
Here is a summary page for this season's fundraisers. DREAM Team Baseball will offer a fundraising opportunity. The funds raised in this fundraiser will go towards their tournament fund or the player tuition. If enough funds are not raised, the remaining balance will be billed to the card on file. Once the funds re applied you are able to log into your players EzFacility account and view the invoice to see where the funds are applied to. We always apply the funds to the tournament fee first then any remaining amounts will be applied to the players monthly tuition.
What is the playing time policy?
For tournaments, every game’s lineup is constructed by the team’s head coach (he will pre-plan the lineup using each player that has RSVP’d 'Yes' via GameChanger or is known to be present on the roster & at the game). Each head coach is tasked with getting every player in the lineup or on the field in some way on Saturday (this can include pinch hitting, being a defensive sub, pinch running or involved in some other way). Barring an unexpected circumstance (illness, poor attitude, lack of coachability, or for some other valid coach’s reason) the player will play at some point unless there are circumstances that prevent it.
Generally speaking, head coaches select each weekend's tournament lineups by the following criteria:
- Player Availability (which players have committed to play at a tournament)
- Position Availability & Skills or Ability (our coaches may have to consider which positions we will need for certain tournaments)
- Coaches Consideration & Planning (although stats are a consideration, they are not the only coaches consideration---in baseball, you can get hits and swing the bat poorly and conversely you can swing the bat very well and the ball gets caught by a fielder)
For elimination games, the head coach will pre-plan lineups and there is a possibility that players may not play (we instruct our head coaches to do their very best to communicate with the player on their playing time if at all possible). The goal of an elimination game is to win and advance and our organization‘s goal is to get all players to contribute, but there may be a circumstance that arises which keeps the player from playing in that game (possibly, the head coach was planning on the player playing in the next game ahead or it's often the case where the head coach saves a player from playing in the first game in the field as they are the starting pitcher for the second elimination game). Ultimately, our organization’s goal is to do our very best to get every player involved. We are not perfect and lineup mistakes may happen, but we ask for parents to give head coaches the benefit of the doubt and NEVER approach a coach during the game. As long as the parent respectfully asks a question in an orderly manner, the coach will be happy to provide an answer.
What is the late tuition policy?
Family DREAM Center and DREAM Team Baseball process tuition on the 1st of every month. If your card DOES NOT successfully process on the 1st, you will automatically be billed an additional $10 as a late fee. The fee will be recurring until a transaction has been processed successfully. If you need to update the card on file, please stop by the Family DREAM Center Office (1496 Heritage Pkwy, Suite 100) or call us at (817) 225-4144 and someone will be more than happy to help update the card on file. The balance must be paid by the 20th of each month in order for students to continue to participate in their activities.
Family DREAM Center and DREAM Team Baseball run tuition on a billing cycle. Tuition will be charged on the 1st of the month for every month in that specific season. We take our season fees and divide them up evenly between the number of months in the season. If you can not make the payment on the first, or the transaction is declined, you have until the 20th of month to log in to your Parent Portal account and make the payment. If we have NOT received the payment by the 21st, your student will not be able to participate in his or her activity. If an unforeseen circumstance arises, please call our office at (817) 225-4144 to let us know and we can see how we can help.

Parents/ Guardians will be required to sign a waiver of consent for all minors before they will be allowed to participate in any practices. If a child is injured while in a practice or game their coach will fill out an incident report that the parent will need to sign.
Illness/ absences:
Please notify the office by email if your child will be missing practice or a game. While we understand that things happen, please try to give as much advance notice as possible. If your child has had a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea in the last 24 hours they need to stay home. IF they haven’t had any of those symptoms, but you believe they may be contagious please keep your child home.
Weather Closings:
We follow Mansfield ISD for all weather related closings. For storm closures that come after school has been dismissed, check with DREAM office staff and check on Family Dream Center APP and FB page. If you have opted in for text notifications, this is another form of communication used.
Weather & Field Condition Alerts for MYBA Teams:
Field condition alerts can be found anytime at my.myba.com.
Sometimes fields may be closed by the City of Mansfield due to other circumstances besides inclement weather. Because of the number of games/teams in the regular season schedule, including post season playoffs during the Fall Season, it may not be possible to reschedule postponed games. If a game is postponed, the game will not count for standing purposes.
Access to the website to post last minute game status may not always be possible. Always check the rainout number or contact your coach.
The City of Mansfield Parks & Recreation Department reviews fields and provides MYBA its decision whether a field is open or closed for play. Please remember fields when wet may provide an unsafe environment for players.
Conduct:
Any conduct unbecoming, such as disrespectful or profane communication and not adhering to the policies of Family Dream Center will be subject to disciplinary action and may, if warranted, result in immediate dismissal from the team.
Parents Code of Conduct:
- Talk about the other kids on the teamindeed, on both teams in same manner you would want other parents to talk about your child. This is the golden rule applied to sports. Watching kids' sports tend to be a social affair. When you are making conversation on the sideline with your friends and neighbors, think about what you are saying before you say it. To be on the safe side, only voice praise for the other children. That way, you will never go wrong. 2. Remember that all coaches are generally doing their best to help your child. So, give them a well deserved salute, especially when their team has not fared well that day. 3. Do not hesitate to give the ref, umpire or official a pat on the back, either. As you might have guessed, refs and umps are people, too. They like it when parents and fans acknowledge their on field efforts. 4. Remind your child that it is the effort that counts. 'We know all kids want to win. That's a given. Be prepared to cushion your child's disappointment after a loss by pointing out that he or she played hard and put forth a tremendous effort. 5. Avoid the post game analysis. When the game is over and your child climbs back into your car, avoid at all cost the detailed, excruciating, post game analysis of everything he or she did right or wrong. Just let your child chill out, savor the fun of having played, and relax. The absolute worst time for "friendly criticism" is immediately after the game. 6. Smile. A lot. Kids' sports are about having fun, and because kids take their behavioral cues from you, try at least to look like you are enjoying yourself. 7. If you are not a "good sport" at the games, the kids will not be either. This should be self evident. If you set a pattern of being a sideline loudmouth who likes to yell and scream at the umpire, coach, or team, do not be surprised when your kids start copying your behavior. You will have only yourself to blame. 8. Take time to learn the rules of the game. 9. If you must make noise at the games, shout only praise and encouragement. There's never any place for derogatory, snide or sarcastic comments at kid’s games. 10. Above all, be there for your kids. Support them, praise them, and let them know you can always be counted on for unconditional love, regardless of the final score.
In addition, we will not tolerate gossip or negativity towards the players, other parents, the coaches, or the umpires. Let’s be upbeat and positive and supportive, to our coaches, and all of the families on our team. If you have any questions or concerns about your player’s team, playing time or coaching please let us know and we would be happy to schedule an in person or phone meeting to get all questions and concerns answered. We would love to have the chance to address them, but it is not appropriate to talk to the coach or the staff at a game or practice. We value our families opinions and want to make sure everyone has a fun and safe experience. The coaches are busy preparing, planning and helping the kids at all baseball events and are not able to appropriately address the concerns at the event. Please reach out to us if you need to schedule a meeting with your players coach or our baseball staff.
