DREAM Team is placing their hat and jersey order very soon! If you were not at Signing Day, please fill out the form below with your player's sizes. We need all sizes by August 9th in order to get our uniforms in time.
We are looking forward to an exciting Fall season (Season Preview below)! We have included the Dates to Remember for each age range below. We will update everyone with their practice times as soon as we have received our field assignments for our MYBA Teams and our tournament only teams will also be updated with their practice times by August 11th! In these documents, you can also find the fundraising information, tournament and tournament fund details. Just to reiterate (in a few short days), we will be sending out the remaining late August and beyond practice schedule for the rest of the season as we are working with MYBA and also Big League Dreams (to lock in the firm dates).
At the first Facility practice for your team, we will be having a Parent Meeting with our DREAM Team Culture Coach, Caleb Elrod (pictured below). In these Parent Meetings, we will discuss the remaining season schedule for Important Team Details such as hearing from your coach, discussing tournaments, tournament fund billing, playing time & positions, and team culture as well as a few other important season details. Please watch your emails for the Parent Meeting date and time for your time!
EZFacility will be your 1 stop shop for all of your team's activities. It will allow you to see your team's practices, but also optional facility classes, lessons, and more for your player! Please make sure you have set up your player's EZFacility account so you can sync their calendar with your Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc. Through EZFacility, you can also book player private lessons, development classes (typically up to 5 students attend class), and rent cages to continue to help your player throughout the season. EZFacility will send you session reminders leading up to your player's scheduled events. If you have not finished setting up your profile, you should have received an email from EZFacility in the last couple of days to verify your email address and from there you can log in. This Fall season, DREAM Team will be using the TeamBuildr app for important at-home player workout announcements & gameday updates. Your coaches will be able to post updates and inform the team of the things they need to know. Please make sure you have downloaded the app and set up your profile.
Here are the steps to follow if you haven't already signed up for TeamBuildr:
Select that you have an Easy Join Code and make sure "Athlete" is the account type.
Enter the provided Join Code (2F29-4A6N) and Password (MTFCDLOM).
Fill in the required information, including your athlete's name, email address, and any other details requested.
Create a secure password for the account.
Once you have successfully signed up, you will gain access to your athlete's account and Coaches will begin posting in TeamBuildr later this month in August.
Rapsodo Hitting and Pitching Training App
At DREAM Team, we use Rapsodo because it helps to assess & refine (with the help of a coach or instructor) technique of youth hitters and pitchers; it's often said that it's "better to assess than guess" and Rapsodo provides intuitive, real-time measurements to help build better technique. Rapsodo is used by all 30 MLB teams and found at more than 1,200 colleges and facilities across the United States and DREAM Team is proud to be one of a handful of youth organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that offers this cutting edge technology to our players!
The Rapsodo Hit Tracking software (similar to a golf swing simulator) helps measure their swing outcomes & allows our instructors to fine tune their swing mechanics! Please make sure to accept your players invitation to be able to view their hitting and pitching reports.
Hitting Metrics that we’ll focus on with the Rapsodo:
*Hard hit %-consistent contact
*Launch angle-measures line drives vs. hitting ground balls
*Direction-ideally you want to hit balls from gap to gap
*Volume of hits-you want them gap to gap
*Hit classifications-for fun
*Launch angle by exit direction-are they hitting line drives to both sides of the field?
Pitching Metrics that we’ll focus on with the Rapsodo:
*Location, location, location: Know exactly where each pitch lands in or out of the strike zone & how to hit your spots.
*Analyze your pitching mechanics rep after rep in slow motion with immediate video feedback and Rapsodo data overlay.
*Understand pitching movement (aka pitch tunneling): Get release point and ball flight comparisons for different pitches.
*Understand Pitch Design as it relates to certain pitch grips which makes the pitcher more confident in understanding how pitch grips affect movement and pitch outcomes.
