New Client Information
Please review the important information below to ensure a smooth start for your family.

Dream Dance Dress Code
Ballet
- Proper color leotard (ballet pink or black — see age requirements)
- Tights
Combo Pre-Ballet, Tap & Tumble (Ages 2–3, 3–4, 5–6)
- Light pink leotard
- Skirt must be removable (not attached)
- Optional pink pull-on skirt
- Ballet pink convertible tights
- Ballet pink leather full sole ballet shoes
- Black patent tap shoes (for tap class)
- If enrolled in jazz: black slip-on jazz shoes (required) and optional black dance shorts
Ages 6–8 (5–6 class stays in pink)
- Black leotard
- Convertible ballet pink or tan tights
- Ballet pink leather full sole ballet shoes
Intermediate/Advanced (including Company)
- Black leotard
- Convertible ballet pink or tan tights
- Canvas split sole ballet shoes (ballet pink)
Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Leaps & Turns
- Fitted dancewear is appropriate
- Combo class dancers must remain in ballet attire (layering is recommended due to quick transitions)
Jazz Shoes (All Levels)
- Black slip-on jazz shoes
Lyrical / Contemporary Shoes
- Nude open-toe half sole turners
Tap
- Combo classes: black patent tap shoes
- Intermediate/Advanced: black lace-up tap shoes
Hip-Hop (All Levels)
- Any top (if loose, must be layered with fitted top underneath)
- Hip-hop pants or leggings
- Clean tennis shoes designated for dance use only (available for purchase at DREAM)
Acro & Tumble (All Levels)
- Fitted shorts or leggings
- Fitted tank, bra top, or leotard
- Barefoot

Where can I find the dress code requirements?
Dress code requirements vary by program and age group. Dance students should review the detailed dress code information provided in your welcome materials, which includes specific leotard colors, tights, and shoe requirements for ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and acro classes. All parents of dance and music students must review the FDC Parent Handbook for complete guidelines. If you have questions, please reach out to our office.
