Tap Instructor
Courtne Shed
Courtné Shed, originally from San Antonio, Texas, began her dance training at the age of three, studying tap, jazz, ballet, clogging, and modern. She spent 11 years competing at numerous competitions, earning multiple awards for her tap solos. During this time, she discovered her passion for rhythm tap under the mentorship of Nicholas Young. Courtné has trained with many renowned tap instructors, including Nicholas Van Young, Jay Fagan, Darrick Grant, Barbara Phillips, Dena Mabry, and Lane Alexander. She continued pursuing her love for dance in college as a member of the Classic Dance Ensemble at Prairie View A&M University under the direction of Danyale Taylor. After college, she performed as a member of Dallas Black Dance Theatre II under the direction of Allyne Gartrell. She was also an original member of the professional tap company Rhythmic Souls, performing at venues across Texas, including the Soul 2 Sole Tap Festival. Courtné currently teaches and choreographs for the Choreo Records Youth Tap Ensemble, directed by Keira Leverton. Courtné is a graduate of Langston University, where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Outside of dance, she works as a physical therapist and is the owner of a mobile physical therapy clinic, C the Movement, which specializes in general physical therapy, dancers, and dance injury prevention. She and her husband, Ian, have a loving and energetic son, Carsten. Courtné continues to expand her knowledge of tap dance by training with master teachers and remains dedicated to growing as both a dancer and educator. She is passionate about sharing her love of dance—especially tap—with others.
Competition Instructor
Chane Coleman
Chane’ began dancing at the age of two and has never looked back. She trained and competed with Ultimate Dance as a member of their elite company and was a founding member and Captain of the Summit Sapphires drill team. After high school, Chane’ attended Sam Houston State University, where she majored in Dance and minored in Business. During her time there, she had the opportunity to train and perform with esteemed artists and companies, including Dr. Cindy Gratz, Mellissa Wynn of Dangerous Lorraines Dance Theatre, Kista Tucker of Tucker Insights, Emmy-nominated duo Dionne and Andy Noble of NobleMotion Dance, and members of Paul Taylor’s junior company, Taylor 2. While at Sam Houston, Chane’ earned multiple scholarships, including the prestigious XTE Outstanding Student Choreographer Award in 2007. Throughout her dance career, she has trained extensively in a wide variety of styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, clogging, lyrical, contemporary, jazz funk, hip-hop, and Afro-Caribbean techniques. Chane’ is passionate about sharing her lifelong love of dance and is excited to inspire and educate the students of the Family DREAM Center.
Drill Team Director
Kelly Norman
Kelly Norman is a highly respected dance instructor and accomplished choreographer in the DFW area. She began her dance training at the age of five under the late Jimmie Ruth White, where she spent thirteen years as a competitive soloist and company member at Spotlight Dance Studio. Kelly is extensively trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and drill team. In high school, Kelly served as Captain of her dance team and later returned to direct the team for five years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Texas Woman’s University, where she also performed with the Dance Energy Repertory Dance Company. Kelly is the former owner of the award-winning Plano Dance Force, where she served as Director and Choreographer for sixteen years. She also spent three years at United Performing Arts Company as a Company Director and instructor. Throughout her career, Kelly’s dance companies and teams have earned numerous awards for outstanding technique, along with multiple regional and national titles. Her work has taken dancers across the country and beyond, including performance tours in New York, Los Angeles, New Mexico, Florida, and the Bahamas. Her dancers have performed on cruise lines such as Disney, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean, as well as at major venues including Disneyland, Walt Disney World, California Adventure, and Universal Studios. Kelly currently serves on staff with the American Dance Drill Team School as a head judge, instructor, choreographer, and master teacher. She is also the Jazz and Hip Hop Curriculum Director and has been with the organization for over twenty years. She is excited to be part of the DREAM Team at the Family D.R.E.A.M. Center, where she serves as Competition Team Director and teaches jazz, lyrical, and ballet. With over twenty years of teaching experience, Kelly is dedicated to sharing her passion for dance and inspiring the next generation of dancers. Kelly is married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, and they have two sons, Chase and Grayson.
Dance Instructor
Taylor Diehl
Born and raised in Irving, Texas, she has always had a strong love for the Lord and is actively involved in a local church in Mansfield. From a young age, she discovered her passion for dance at Dance Machines Dance Studio. Beginning at just five years old, her journey in dance quickly grew, leading her to become Captain of her cheer squad in middle school, as well as on both JV and varsity teams in high school. Throughout her training, she had the opportunity to compete at various competitions, including the prestigious Tremaine Dance Conventions. She studied a wide range of styles, including jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, clogging, pom, and contemporary. Her passion for dance naturally led her into teaching at the age of 14, where she began giving back to her community through dance and tumble instruction—a role she continued throughout college. She earned her undergraduate degree from Baylor University and her graduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington before pursuing a full-time career as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Although she stepped into the medical field, her love for dance never faded. She recently returned to teaching to inspire and help children in her community develop their own passion for this beautiful art form. She is thrilled to be part of the Family D.R.E.A.M. Center community and looks forward to connecting with students and families while sharing her love of dance.
Ballet Instructor
Alysha Shuford
Alysha, a Fort Worth, Texas native, began her dance training at the age of two and has since developed a strong foundation across multiple genres and techniques, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, modern, improvisation, and the Paula Morgan technique. Growing up, Alysha competed at various conventions and competitions, earning numerous awards and scholarships throughout the state. She has also performed in a variety of productions and events, including The Nutcracker with Ballet Frontiers, SoulEscape’s student showcase, performances with GMA Dove Award nominee Dara Maclean Petty, Truthical the Musical, and Wacky Week at Gateway Church. During her sophomore year of high school, Alysha was accepted into a one-year internship program with Adrenaline Dance Convention. Following her internship, she toured with Adrenaline as an assistant for five years, where she assisted and taught master classes alongside renowned choreographers such as Marty Kudelka, Sonya Tayeh, Peter Chu, Chelsea Thedinga, and Ivan Koumaev. While assisting, Alysha also began teaching at her home studio, Beyond the Movement. Since then, she has choreographed numerous award-winning routines, earning both choreography and top overall honors throughout her teaching career. Alysha is excited to be part of the DREAM Team and looks forward to helping her students learn, grow, and thrive throughout the season.
Ballet Instructor
Emily West
Emily West, originally from Fort Worth, Texas, began her dance training at Epicenter for the Arts under the direction of Michelle Brogan. During this time, she toured nationally, performing and assisting classes with the convention Dance Revolution. Emily graduated in Spring 2024 from Point Park University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance with a minor in Entrepreneurship. While at Point Park, she performed in renowned works including Sweet Fields by Twyla Tharp, Company B by Paul Taylor, Prelude to Action by Martha Graham, and Exodus by Rennie Harris. In addition to performing, Emily had the opportunity to work creatively with distinguished guest artists such as Jess Hendricks, Norbert De La Cruz, and Candace Brown. Her training also included studying a wide range of dance styles under faculty members Garfield Lemonius, Jason McDole, Kiesha Lalama, Jesse Factor, and Marc Spaulding.
In Fall 2023, Emily made her choreographic debut in the Student Choreography Project with her original piece, I Still Dream About You. She has continued to expand her training through summer intensives at prestigious programs including Orsolina 28 in Italy, the Institute of Contemporary Dance in Houston, and Zion Dance Project in Dallas. Alongside her performance experience, Emily has taught and assisted dance classes at studios and schools across the country. Following graduation, she continued her professional dance career as a Company Member with 6 O’Clock Dance Theatre, beginning in October 2024. Emily is excited to continue growing as both a performer and educator and is thrilled to share her passion for dance through teaching and choreography at the Family D.R.E.A.M. Center.

Alysse Moore
Alysse joined the Family D.R.E.A.M. Center in 2018 as a hip hop dancer, bringing with her experience in a variety of dance styles. She has been dancing from a young age and has developed strong technique, versatility, and performance quality over the years. In addition to her training, Alysse has assisted in teaching alongside Ms. Grace in hip hop, intermediate, and preschool classes, where she has shared her passion for dance and helped inspire younger dancers. Today, Alysse is a highly experienced performer and a valued member of the Senior Advanced Competition Team, where she continues to grow, excel, and shine both on and off the stage.
Tumble Instructor
Chelsea Ghormley
Chelsea has been involved in the dance industry for over 20 years, bringing a wealth of experience as both an educator and choreographer. She is a proud member of the Acro Dance Teachers Association (ADTA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from Brigham Young University.
In addition to her extensive training, Chelsea successfully owned and operated an award-winning dance studio for nearly a decade. Throughout her career, she has choreographed and taught numerous nationally recognized, award-winning routines and has received multiple performance accolades.
Chelsea is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experience, inspiring dancers to grow in both skill and confidence.
Music Instructor
Dianne Logan
Dianne Logan began her musical studies at a young age and continued her education in music through college in Denver, Colorado, and Springfield, Missouri. Throughout her life, she has gained extensive experience as a singer, pianist, and director, leading small groups and choirs and traveling across the United States as both a soloist and member of various vocal ensembles. Over the years, Dianne has taught private piano and voice lessons in both Colorado and Texas, sharing her passion for music with students of all ages. Alongside her husband, Charles, Dianne has served as a Senior Pastor in Brazoria County, Texas, where they have been dedicated church and community leaders with a heart for working with children and youth. She has also served as a Principal of a Christian school in Richwood, Texas. Dianne is passionate about teaching the disciplines of piano and voice, and she strives to create an encouraging and engaging learning environment while incorporating fun techniques students can practice at home.
